I’ve tried a lot of fitness programs in the past and none of them worked very well, why should I try “Beat the BeepTest” ?
For a start the programs outlined in the book have been developed from the programs used successfully by my clients over the last 5 years. These clients range from people who have gone from completely sedentary office jobs to passing the entry requirements of the police and military through to serving police and soldiers who have successfully completed special forces selection.
Second, “Beat the Beep Test” comes with a 110% money back guarantee.
If you follow the programs outlined in the book for a full 8 weeks and don’t see an improvement in your beep test score I’ll refund you 110% of the purchase price.
I don’t have access to a gym, can I still do the programs?
Absolutely. The aim of the programs in “Beat the Beep Test” is to improve your running performance and so a lot of the workouts are running based. Even though there is a strength program included in the book we have designed this program to be performed with a single dumbbell or kettlebell.
I need to improve my fitness for a beep test but every time I start a running program my shins start to hurt, are your programs suitable for me?
This is a very common problem for many people who begin a running program and who rapidly increase the volume of running they do on hard surfaces. In “Beat the Beep Test” I have provided optional programs designed to improve your fitness with the absolute minimum amount of running.
I have a quick question, on your site it says that increasing long distance runs is one of the worst ways to approach the beep test. I have been doing long distance runs, not just for beep test endurance but just for all over running endurance. Why is this a bad approach?
There is nothing wrong with distance running as part of a program but I’ve seen a lot of people who get on an endless cycle of having to up their volume in order to continue to improve their results and this often leads to overuse injuries.
In addition for the beep test and other military fitness activities long distance running is not the most effective and efficient way to improve your ability to run short distances fast.
I prefer to think of long distance running as a skill that needs to be practiced once a weekor so rather than a primary conditioning method.
